Hello!
This is Hanna Zasada and Jacek Prowadzisz – a couple, ADV motorcycle travelers. In September 2022, we left our home in Katowice, Poland with the intention of reaching the Indian Himalayas. A year later, we were riding mountain passes in Ladakh and… we decided not to stop, but to keep going.
It is October 28, 2025, and we are in Borneo. We have ridden more than 63,000 km on our motorcycles and thoroughly explored 18 countries. What does “thoroughly” mean?
We spent two months in Turkey, three months in Iran, and half a year in Pakistan. Each subsequent country added several to more than a dozen weeks.
We reach the most remote villages off-road to understand the challenges and customs of their inhabitants. We take part in local celebrations from the moment preparations begin until the last guests are bid farewell. We discover natural wonders known only to locals, where there are no marked mountain trails—we walk the paths used by shepherds
We travel in every season, in temperatures ranging from -8°C in the sun to +47°C in the shade. We ride efficiently with full luggage in the extremely dangerous traffic of Asian megacities such as Delhi, Dhaka, and Jakarta. We cross landslides, flooded rivers, and crumbling rock ledges in the highest mountains in the world. We stopped paying attention to seasons, as long as the roads remain passable.
Our first truly major travel project, “Baltic – Himalayas,” turned out to be a prelude to a much greater challenge we set for ourselves: visiting all continents and traveling around the world.
For us, the value lies in experiencing the world as it is at the moment we pass through it—not in breaking mileage records or merely ticking countries off a list. This is a journey in search of authenticity, of touching how life is lived in the places we travel through.
Why?
To bear witness to the world we actually see—faithfully and without “epic” exaltation—echoing Herodotus: “According to what we have learned…” This matters in an era of media sensationalism, deepfakes, and AI.
We document our experiences. We edit our YouTube vlogs ourselves—on the road—trying to reflect as faithfully as possible our perception of people, places, and artifacts of other cultures. On the @onemoreadv channel you will find road stories, sometimes accompanied by historical commentary.
Our story
We met… on the road—or rather… on the way to the legendary Kraków motorcycle club, Expedition Club. It may sound trivial, but we were brought together by a passion for riding on two wheels. Later it turned out that we shared many more passions, and to this day we continue discovering new ones together.
Almost from the very beginning of our relationship, we shared one dream: to ride the legendary Silk Road on wheels. To experience the freedom of a months-long journey and a nomadic life with no return date.
At the same time, however, we faced another challenge—the development of a business in the e-commerce sector and the management of a home furnishings store. Those were beautiful years—full of unexpected twists, typical business failures, and extraordinarily favorable circumstances. We built a strong interior-design brand and professionalized our commercial and warehouse logistics.
We rode motorcycles on weekends and during vacations lasting two to three weeks—to the Balkans, Thailand, and Morocco. We always returned unsatisfied, already looking ahead to the next trip.
We talked about the Silk Road in terms of “Someday we’ll go.” Until we finally realized that someday we would start saying, “We never did it.” That was the moment to make the journey a priority and set ourselves a deadline.
Unfortunately, our stationary professional life could not be made “mobile.” For a long time, we searched for solutions that would allow us to disappear from the professional scene for at least several months each year. In the end, we decided to cease our business activity—fully aware that we would not return to this industry. It was an emotionally very difficult decision, because along with our professional life and a stable, good income, we were losing the position in the industry that we had built over many years.
With this general life “loss,” we bought ourselves time and a clear mind to prepare for the journey.
We customised our motorcycles—a Ténéré 700 and a CRF 300 Rally—for long-distance travel, including fully loaded off-road riding. We gathered pins on the map, travel documents, and camping equipment.
On September 11, 2022, after ten years of postponing our dreams, we set off from home.
